Dr. Walter Wood has been practicing periodontics in the Jacksonville
area for over 22 years. Dr. Wood received his
undergraduate degree from
Florida State University
in 1982, graduated from Dental School at the
University of Florida
in 1986, and then went on to the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
for his
certificate in Periodontics. When away from the
office, Dr. Wood enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, and

Kim - Office Manager
Kim has over 20 years experience in the dental industry, beginning her career as a dental assistant with the United States Navy. After serving in the military for 13 years, she completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management and has continued her career in dentistry. Kim enjoys sports, gardening and spending time with her family.

Stacey - Periodontal Hygienist
Stacey has been a part of Dr. Wood's team since
August 2006. Some of her hobbies include being outdoors, traveling, reading, and spending time with her twin daughters. "After
dental assisting for a couple of years, I decided to further my education by going to college to become a dental hygienist.
I thoroughly enjoy my profession and educating my patients."
Laura - Periodontal Hygienist
Laura has been a part of Dr. Wood’s periodontal team since July 1997. She is a native of Fernandina Beach, FL. Some of her hobbies include watching reality TV, snow skiing, bike riding and traveling.
“My career in dentistry began over twenty years ago. I was a dental assistant for nearly seven years before attending college to become a registered dental hygienist. I see myself as an oral health educator. I love teaching patients how to improve and maintain a healthy smile.”
Tori - Surgical Assistant
"I have worked with Dr. Wood since March 2006. I was born and raised in Jacksonville. I love the beach
, being outside in the sun, and spending time with my family. I chose to go to school for dental
assisting after graduation from high school because I have always noticed people's teeth and think
they are such an important feature."
